Swanwick Hall School

Swanwick Hall is an 11-18 school of some 1250 students situated in south-east Derbyshire, close to the Nottinghamshire border. Our aim is to provide our students with the best possible preparation for adult life so that they can play a full and successful role in 21st century society. This means a strong balance of good exam results from a broad curriculum and a range of experiences which support their personal development to allow them to progress to a carefully planned next stage.

Judged consistently good by Ofsted (2008, 2010, 2014) and with a strong track record of improvement in outcomes at all levels, the school is popular within the local community and further afield, meaning that we have been oversubscribed in many year groups. Situated on a beautiful site of some 22 acres and based around an 18th century listed hall, the school is an eclectic collection of buildings which provide a range of specialist facilities to support students’ learning.

The key to the school’s successes is a strong partnership of a talented and dedicated staff working closely with our students and parents to ensure that learning is at the heart of all that we do, within a calm, focused and friendly environment.
